Overview

Hota's main products are automotive and motorcycle gears and shafts. In 2025, approximately 3.77% of its products were sold domestically and 96.23% were exported, making it the largest automotive gear and transmission parts company in Taiwan. It's main customers are major European and American automakers and their first-tier suppliers, with a recent focus on precision gears for electric vehicles.

Economic Innovation

Hota actively designs and builds smart production lines that are in line with the government's industry policies on manufacturing innovation.

We continue to optimize our intelligent manufacturing, in-line automatic inspection and smart auto loading to achieve high efficiency and cost targets.

In 2020, Hota was recognized and award for executing the technology development program offered by the Ministry of Economic Affairs in an effort to improve intelligent production and inspection, as well as to boost technical innovation.

Green Energy Development

By 2025, all of the company's plants had passed ISO 14001 Environmental Management System certification and ISO 50001 Energy Management System certification.

The cumulative installed capacity of rooftop solar photovoltaic systems reached 5,756.13 KWP, providing 6,437.384 kilowatt-hours of electricity annually and reducing CO2 emissions by approximately 3,006,258.328 kgCO2e.

Currently, all of the company's plants have installed rooftop solar photovoltaic systems, exceeding the standards and regulations of the relevant authorities.

Social Welfare

The Gao He Chun Gui Foundation, led by Hota Group's donations, is committed to promoting social welfare and caring for the poverty and disadvantaged groups.

In 2025, we will continue to dedicate ourselves to promoting social welfare and caring for the disadvantaged, filling society with warmth and love.

The donations will include the renovation of wards at Taichung Veterans General Hospital to improve the safety of the medical environment.

The annual donation amount is NT$505,000.

1975/

  • Renamed as Hota Industrial Development Co., Ltd. to specialize in the development and production of automotive components.

1979/

  • Honored as a model of machinery factory for quality assurance in the central Taiwan in 1979 by the Ministry of Economic Affairs.

1980/

  • Honored as a model of machinery factory for quality assurance in central Taiwan in 1980 by the Ministry of Economic Affairs.

1981/

  • Honored as a model of machinery factory for quality assurance in the central Taiwan in 1981 by the Ministry of Economic Affairs.

1982/

  • Signed a technical cooperation agreement with Nippon Gear.
  • Signed a technical cooperation agreement with Mechanical and Mechatronics Systems Research Laboratories, ITRI to develop the clutch system components.
  • Honored as the excellent quality factory by Ministry of Economic Affairs.

1990/

  • Renamed as Hota Industrial Mfg. Co., Ltd..

1991/

  • Established Howin Precision Co., Ltd. for piston ring business.

1995/

  • The first gear manufacturer in Taiwan certified for ISO 9002 quality assurance system by B.S.I., and successfully opened up the U.S. automotive OEM market

1996/

  • The first gear manufacturer in Taiwan certified for QS 9000 quality system by the Ministry of Economic Affairs and B.S.I..

1998/

  • Established Wuxi Hota Precision Gear Co., Ltd.

2000/

  • The Company stock was publicly traded and listed on the OTC of the Taiwan Stock Exchange.
  • Established Hotatech, Inc. in Los Angeles, USA.

2001/

  • Established Hoga Industry Co., Ltd. to for engine valves business.

2003/

  • Established Global Technos Ltd. in Osaka, Japan.
  • Invested Amstrong Industry Corporation for ATV business.

2004/

  • Established Hotatech, Inc. in Detroit, USA.

2005/

  • Established an Europe business representative office to develop European markets.
  • Established Hartech Machinery Co., Ltd., and became the only manufacturer of gear shaver in Taiwan.

2006/

  • Start of Production in Taichung plant 2 (Central Taiwan Science Park).

2007/

  • Acquired Kao Fong Machinery Co., Ltd. and introduced Japanese technical consultant teams.
  • Amstrong Industry Corporation and Hartech Machinery Co., Ltd. were incorporated into Hota's enterprise, and divided as Powertrain business unit and Machinery business unit.
  • Awarded GM's Best Global Supplier.

2008/

  • Start of production by Heat Treatment Facility in Taichung plant 1.

2009/

  • Successfully develop the first self-made gear hobbing machine in Taiwan.

2010/

  • Collaborating with a renowned Belgian transmission manufacturer, and venturing into CVT transmission market in China.

2011/

  • Awarded Eaton 2011 Asia Pacific Best Supplier.

2012/

  • Awarded the 20th Taiwan Excellence Award by the Ministry of Economic Affairs.

2013/

2014/
